Developmental neurobiology, stem cell biology, development and regeneration of vertebrate visual systems, glaucoma and other retinal diseases, cellular and molecular basis of neuron/glial cell interactions.

Development of experimental strategies for CNS rescue and repair
Retinal development: Cellular interactions
Coupled biological and mathematical modeling of neural pattern formation
