Zijun's hometown is Wuhan, a beautiful city in the central part of China where he stayed for 23 years. After finishing his undergraduate study in China, he came to America pursuing the advanced education and different culture overseas.

In order to have an easy-to-remember name for non-Chinese guys, he introduces himself as "Jackey". However, people are always curious about his Chinese name. Then he has to pronouns "Zi-Jun" in the American intonation, few guys can remember it though.

Zijun likes sports. He goes to swimming everyday in the evening. The body-building is very important to him as well, so a regular workout is scheduled. Besides that, sometimes he plays basketball, soccer, pool shooting, bowling with his buddies.

Zijun cannot live without Chinese food, I mean the fantastic Chinese food. To compensate the bareness of such delicious food in Ames, he has to learn the cooking skills from his mom through the phone. Right now, his Chinese dishes can be rated as "not bad" under his picky taste.
