STOR 890: SPATIAL STATISTICS
Fall 2007
Instructor: Zhengyuan Zhu
Course Description: This
course covers a number of areas of spatial statistics. It will provide
the students the necessary skills and knowledge to model and analyze
spatial data, and expose them to some of the most recent developments
in modern spatial statistics. The emphasis will be on methodology, and
relevant theoretical results will be covered to help understand the
foundations of the methodology and appreciate the stochastic process
theory that underlies the modeling. There will also be an applied
component to learn how to analyze various real spatial data. A good
working knowledge of matrix algebra and understanding of fundamental
statistical theory at the level of STOR 664 is assumed.
