Materials:
The text Statistical Quality Design and Control, 2nd edition by DeVor, Chang and Sutherland is a required text. Course materials including handouts of PowerPoint presentations seen on the videos will be made available via WebCT.
Exams:
Off campus students will need to identify a proctor who will supervise the exams at their
locations.
Exam 1: Tuesday, September 25
Exam 2: Tuesday, October 30
Final Exam: Week of December 10 - 15
Assignments:
The due date for each assignment is one week after it is assigned. Corrected assignments will be returned as soon as possible.
Grading:
Grading is based on your performance on exams, the project and homework assignments. The breakdown of points is as follows:

Blackboard, tapes of lectures and handbook materials:
All handouts and handbook materials are available to students registered for this course through Blackboard. To access Blackboard go to the homepage of Iowa State University (http://www.iastate.edu) and follow the link to Blackboard. You will be asked to login with your Network ID and Password.
Computing:
You can download JMP by going to www.stat.iastate.edu/resources/software/jmp and following the appropriate link for instatllation on your computer Windows or Mac. The standard version of JMP is fine. There is no need to download the PRO version. You will have to type in your ISU netid and password in order to do this. Once the zip file is downloaded to your desktop (it is a pretty big file at 360 MB) you will need to extract the files and run the setup.exe file. Follow the step-by-step instructions.
You may install JMP on your personal computer. The software will work until June 30, 2013.
