I graduated from Indianola High School in 2005. I have been attending DMACC since 2008 and will be finished with my Associate of Arts this semester. At ISU, I will be majoring in Child, Adult, and Family Services with a specialization in Adult & Family. I also plan to pursue a Spanish minor while at ISU. After graduation in summer 2012, I want to attend grad school and then become a social worker.

For the last three years, I have worked at Boston’s Gourmet Pizza near West Des Moines. I started out as a server, and then became a bartender and supervisor. Because of school, I cut down my schedule to supervising two days a week. I also recently became an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay. Before that, my husband and I delivered two DSM Register paper routes. I’m really glad we don’t have to do that anymore though, because I was always really exhausted at work and school.
