Bi Social Film Festival

Bi Matinees Before Every Social!
At the March 2000 meeting of the Bi Social, a daring band of just under a dozen people discussed the sheer impossibility of trying to pick out a handful of films from the list we had already generated. We quickly concluded that we needed more RESEARCH! To that end, we've been holding a monthly video screening before each Bi Social. So far, we've seen the following films: And some of the films we'd LIKE to see: Individual members act as hosts for each matinee. If you want to see a particular flick, volunteer to host! The TV and VCR are provided by Memorial Union. (Matinees may be cancelled if there is no host)

Some History
At the January meeting of the Bi Social, members became excited about having a Bi Film Festival, possibly in cooperation with other groups on campus at Iowa State University. More recently, we've discovered there is interest in co-sponsoring a bi film festival on the part of other groups, including Sub Films.

So What Do We Watch?
Each host gets to pick a film for their Bi Matinee. If you would like to host, but don't have any odea of what to watch, please refer to the following list. The list was generated from the Bisexual Resource Center's list of bisexually-related films available on video.

Please leave your comments or suggestions about which film(s) you think would be worthwhile for a film festival or a matinee. Keep in mind that some films might be personally interesting, but considered esoteric by a broader audience. Current plans are to have one or two public presentations, and then maybe some smaller presentations for Bi Social members.

What Are Some of These Films?
Some of these films are not well-known in the United States. That makes them either really obscure and esoteric, or very much worth viewing, depending on your point of view - maybe both!
