This is an advertisment that that covers the whole page and it is of a Scotish soccer club caled Celtic. it is one of the top teams in scotland, and yet alone the whole world. Because their team is loosing a lot of coverage due to other leagues around the world, and other teams in the Scotish league who have bought world known soccer players for better results in the season plus publicity. This ad is suposed to catch the spirit of their fans and bring back the world of soccer back to celtic land.
If looked at closley you can kind of feel a sense of patriotism in the background, and that is mostley due to the weavy background flag. That is almost put there so that the onlooker or an old fan would feel loyal to the team. So this ad is definetly trying to attract a wider audience of fans, even though the team hasn't been shown accross all that many sports chanels they still want to prove that they are around and still proud.
The guy squating down in front of the picture looks like a hero like for example if you notice that his smile is not overdone, and instead its melow where you know that he is happy and proud, but yet he still looks like he is ready for any battle thrown at him. The picture contains two faces and these are the faces of their star players, and they wanted to make you feel like the guys are just like regular average Joe's, but yet they are looking so glorius. Also noticable is their sponsors logo in the right hand corner, and that is one of the most famous sponsors in soccer today. This sponsor does not support just any team, they sponsor top teams in different leagues, and in other words fans recognize jerzey's by whats written on them. Another good thing about this ad is the heading on the flag "WALK ON", it really says lets keep going, support us, this team was built by the fans.
This ad is deffinetly ethos, because if you know soccer you would know how much credibility that the Celtic team has, and it has been around since soccer started. This ad is deffinetly persuasive, and especially if you were a fan at one point. So if you can't go see their games you can still support them by wearing Celtic merchandise.
