Renaming a column

  1. Make sure no columns, rows, or cells are selected. To do this, click in a single cell of the data table and then click to the right of the rightmost column.

  2. Click the column header of the column to rename. The header will change color to show it is selected.

  3. Type the new column name and press "Return."

Adding a column

  1. Double-click to the right of the rightmost column header.

    JMP adds an empty column with a temporary name.

  2. Enter the desired name and press "Return."

Adding rows to a data table

Note: This example shows how to add one row to a data table. The process is the same for adding any number of rows.

  1. Select "Rows --> Add Rows."

  2. In the dialog box that follows, enter "1" to add one row.

  4. Click "OK."

    JMP adds an empty row to Column 1.
