Internal Communications

The Internal Communications office, a subdivision of University Relations, helps update the campus community and a variety of other audiences on university issues and events. Among services are:

Inside Iowa State. This faculty-staff newspaper is published biweekly during the school year and less often during summers and academic breaks. Contact Inside Iowa State: 515-294-7065, inside@iastate.edu

Inside Update. A supplement to the faculty-staff newspaper, this weekly e-mail update is sent to all faculty and staff Wednesday evenings. To submit announcements (of general interest to faculty and staff) to the Update, send e-mail to inside@iastate.edu.

Faculty-staff announcements. Announcements of interest to ISU faculty and staff are updated daily on this web site. Send submissions to inside@iastate.edu.

Student announcements. Announcements of interest to ISU students are updated daily on this web site. Send submissions to inside@iastate.edu.

Online calendar. This web site contains several online calendars of campus events, activities and workshops. Submit entries to calendar@iastate.edu.

Iowa State Web site. Internal Communications staff maintain the top-level ISU homepage and many of the second-level pages, and provides some assistance to departments that are setting up their own Web sites.
