1. Introductions

• Presentation by Kathryn Overberg
  Kathryn Overberg is one of ISU’s attorney’s. She discussed with the group the university’s sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy. The presentation was very informative. Kathryn and her office would like to be able to reach more departments to make this policy more visible. She asked for ideas that would work for individual departments, if you have any ideas please contact Kathryn.

2. Budget Status Report – Susan Carlson
Carlson reported that the Colleges have turned in what their cuts will be for the current fiscal year. The Dean’s have been in meetings discussing next year’s cuts. It is unknown at this point where exactly the cuts will be. The cuts may not be made across the board. Items of concern for UCW will be to stay on top of any women’s issues that may need to be addressed.

3. New Business
Set-up Spring Meeting Times
Setting up a meeting time for the Spring meetings will be arranged via email. Ann Thompson, the new chair, will work with Sheley to send out options for meeting times next semester. It was also discussed to possibly hold a mini-retreat in January to start off the Spring semester to make clear the issues that UCW would like to address.
