II. Subcommittee Reports:
Sustaining Members-Penny Rice
A proposal to replace the sustaining members of UCW with three members of Women Leaders Consortium was the focus of the report.

Faculty Status-Diane Debinski
The focus of this report was how to use studies conducted at the University of Michigan and Duke University to bolster the argument for creative hiring as it relates to women at Iowa State. The goal of the committee this year is to focus on issues related to hiring (i.e. part-time, full-time, tenure track) on campus.

Title IX/Gender Equity
--There was a request from this committee for issues to address this year related to gender equity on campus. If you have any suggestions, please submit to Penny Rice.
--Jackie Litt proposed sponsoring women’s basketball game on 2/15/03 in order to promote UCW to the campus community. The funding that the committee needs to sponsor the game was provided by Carla Espinoza.

VII. Meeting with Provost:
Report on meeting with Provost-Ann Thompson- The topics that were covered in this meeting dealt primarily with the Status of Women Report and a lack of women in senior level positions on campus.
