Thanks to Phyllis Harris for taking the time to create new name cards for UCW members.
Provost Rollin C. Richmond:
Provost Richmond thanked UCW for the invitation to our meeting. He presented his philosophy and evolution in understanding and applying feminist thinking and theory to his interactions with women and men at work and at home. He handed UCS members a paper titled "Feminism, Community and Better Science." (Please contact Penny Rosenthal if you would like a copy)

What do we want to ask? How will it be used? What information are we seeking? Memebers Silvia Secchi and Judy Dolphin made a brief progress report.
Provost Relations:
Budget Reallocation and Strategic Plan. Next Provost Advisory Committee meeting will be December 13 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. WILL BE DEC.
Outreach/Network:
A draft of the survey to be mailed out was distributed. Contact Penny Rosenthal if you would like a copy. Nancy Knight asked what kind of budget was available. Theresa indicated that the working team needed to submit in writing a budget indicating needs. Judy Dolphin, YWCA has a Human Services Directory that the Outreach/Network Team can access to collect agencies/offices/individuals working to better womans experience. Dolphin also stated the Red Cross has a database on helping agencies. Erin Rosacher stated that the Athletic Department could contribute postage to this project.
Faculty Womens Network Report
Leslie Bloom & Barbara Caldwell are UCW representatives. Leslie Bloom forwarded the UCW response about the Faculty Conduct Policy to Denise Vrchota by the due date in early November.
New Women on Campus Reception
Tuesday, November 30, 3-5:00 pm, 302 Catt Hall, Pam Thomas and Pat Miller are coordinating.
Women in Touch Lunch/Speaker
Agriculture Deans Search:
Some members have attended the open forum and diversity forum for different candidated. McCormick requested that copies for the evaluation form be forwarded to her.
Strategic Plan
UCW Chair will make a reply to the Presidents Office concerning gender and equity issues relative to the Strategic Plan. Please forward your suggestions to Theresa.
