Many women have been on the front lines of political and social activism at Iowa State. Women have fought for equality in many ways, including protesting, inviting feminist speakers to campus, and creating committees. They have demanded many rights, including equal pay, equal treatment in the classroom, and equal athletic activities. The women and groups highlighted below are a small sampling of the many ways in which women exercised their activism to make Iowa State a better place for all who come to campus.
