Programs

The Infant Program

  • Licensed for 15 children (maintained at 12)
  • Infants (six weeks to 24 months of age)
  • Opportunities for exploration, practice and mastery of skills at each child's developmental level.
  • Based on individual schedules
  • Each child has a primary caregiver

The Toddler Program

  • Licensed for 20 children (maintained at 16)
  • Toddlers (18 months - 3 1/2 years)
  • Safe, challenging, and meaningful activities and materials are provided to facilitate learning.

The Full-time Preschool Program

  • Licensed for 21 children (maintained at 16)
  • Preschoolers (3-5 years)
  • Developmentally appropriate activities including large and small motor activities, dramatic play, art, science, and pre-reading and pre-math activities.

The Flex-care Preschool Program for ISU student families

  • Licensed for 20 children (maintained at 16) during the ISU Fall and Spring semesters
  • Preschoolers (3-5 years)
  • Part-time care 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
  • Developmentally appropriate activities including large and small motor activities, dramatic play, art, science, and pre-reading and pre-math activities.

The Morning-Only Preschool Program

  • Preschoolers (3-5 years)
  • Operates during the ISU Fall and Spring semesters.
  • Part-time care 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
  • Developmentally appropriate activities including large and small motor activities, dramatic play, art, science, and pre-reading and pre-math activities.

The School-age Program

  • Licensed for and maintained at 21 children during the school year
  • Before and after school care offered for children from kindergarten through 6th grade
  • Full day care during breaks and summer vacation
  • Opportunities to relax and unwind after school and choices of a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

The Comfort Zone

  • Child care for mildly ill children during the ISU Fall and Spring semesters
  • Depending on need, the Comfort Zone may be open from 7:45 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.
  • Pre-registration is required.
  • A child care professional and a nurse are on staff whenever the Comfort Zone is open.
