Dr. Ted Heindel is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering at Iowa State University. Prior to joining ISU, Dr. Heindel was
an Assistant Professor of Engineering at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology. Dr.
Heindel received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and
his Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University. All three degrees
are in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in the thermal science area.
Dr. Heindel's current research interests are in the area of transport phenomena
(i.e., fluid mechanics and heat/mass transfer), particularly related to gas
