Year 2009

The following research projects were carried out at the Horticulture Station (Gilbert) and the Muscatine Island Research Farm (Fruitland). The soil type at the Horticulture Station consists of a moderately, well drained, loam with 2.5 to 4% organic matter content. The soil type at Fruitland is a excessively, well drained, coarse sand with organic content < 1%. There are one or two trials conducted at the Armstrong Farm (Lewis) located in southwest Iowa on loess soils. Click on the topic of interest for downloading to your computer.
