Dear Brother Knights:

I am up and around but still have a long way to go. I walk very carefully, but, together with my physical therapy, I hope to come to the next council meeting. I feel embarrassed that I missed so many.

People say to me, "You look good, Father" but I am not comfortable with that. As John Doneghy (Campus Minister for 18 years) quotes his father, "Donšt use that expression "He looks good", it is what people say about a corpse."

I was so pleased to hear how many Knights have been helping at fixing up the Friendship Ark home. The concept for such a place for disadvantaged people was formulated by a lay man, Jean Vanier. I thank all of you who have helped. Isnšt it great that the members of the Knights of Columbus are called upon for such wonderful work and are fulfilling their mission as being workers for Jesus. As I now praise you, imagine what praise you will receive from the Chief Shepherd!
