St. Thomas Aquinas Garage Sale Clean Up

St. Thomas is in need of help after their annual garage sale. They would like 8-10 people and some pick-ups to help bag up and move the left over clothes to the Appalachian Warehouse. If you can help, meet in the basement of St. Thomas Church at 8:00am on Saturday, Sept. 9th. If you have any questions, call Jackie Conzemius at 292-3307.

St. Cecilia Parish Golf Tournament

The Parish Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 10th at Veenker Golf Course. Dick Matt said there are still a few openings for foursomes and will still accept help with various tasks. It should prove to be a very enjoyable day. If you would like to play call the parish office immediately at 233-3092. If you would like to help or want more info, contact Dick Matt at 232-7688.

Phone-a-thon

The Phone-a thon is scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd and will take place at the DOT. There are many jobs besides direct phone solicitations, such as verifying addresses, stamping envelopes, folding letters, applying address labels and such. Terry Herrman will be soliciting volunteers in the near future. Please consider helping with this worthy cause to support the mentally handicapped.

St. Ceciliašs Community Fair

The Parish Community Life Committee is holding a Parish Community Fair again this year on Sunday, September 24th. It will be held in the Social Hall at St. Cecilia following the morning Masses. The Knights of Columbus will display our services and answering question about our fraternity at one of the booths in the event. If you would like to volunteer your time, please call Sly Upah at 232-6447.

K of C Mental Disabilities Drive

The Knights will be distributing Tootsie Rolls after the masses at both St. Ceceliašs and St. Thomasš on September 30th and October 1st. There will be sign up sheets for volunteers at the meeting and we may be soliciting additional help, if required. Please call Rick Hackett at 383-4630 if you would like to help.

Knight of Columbus Retreat

The Knight of Columbus Retreat will be Friday, November 3rd starting at 8:00 PM through Sunday, November 5th after lunch.

The retreat will be conducted by Most Rev. Daniel W. Kucera, Retired Archbishop of Dubuque.

Individual donation is $70. This retreat is filling up fast. I highly recommend it.
