Your delegates to the 2000 KofC State Convention were Terry Herrman and Rick Hackett. Fourth Degree member Bob Dahlgren was also present. It was a real honor to have our Supreme Knight, Virgil Dechant, and his wife Ann in attendance during our 100 year celebration of the Knights of Columbus in Iowa. This years theme was "We Can Do It", and it was a perfect fit for all the accomplishments the Knight's have had this year.

| COUNCIL - ten new councils were started in our state last year. |
| MENTALLY HANDICAPPED - our statewide contributions totaled $459,000; with $74,000 to the Special Olympics Iowa. |
| VOLUNTEER HOURS - hours of volunteer time donated to the church, youth, and community service totaled 934,000. |
| BLOOD DONATION - 7,881 Knights reported donating blood this past year. |
| PRO-LIFE - $74,000 were given to pro-life programs. |
| VOCATIONS - the state contributed $77,237 for vocations in Iowa during calendar year 1999. |
| TOTAL DISBURSEMENTS - the state reported the total of all charitable disbursements at $1,672,000 |
