I hope everyone had a splendid Christmas holiday and I wish everyone many blessings in the new year. As we resolve to make improvements or changes throughout the year 2000, let us not forget the small things that will really make a difference in our lives - namely the time we spend with our families, friends and community.
This New Year begins with a reflection on how we can better serve the commitment we made when we first became members of the Knights of Columbus. As Knights and practical Catholics, we made a commitment to carry fraternity to the limits of love: unselfish service to our families, Church, country, community and council. Faith, fellowship, and philanthropy are the distinguishing marks of a Knight.
Each of you have received your membership statements and more importantly the survey of fraternal participation. I encourage each and every one of you, young and not as young alike, to fill out and return this survey just as soon as you can.
The council officers and committee chairs will use this information as a tool to better serve the members of our council. Our council works very hard to offer its members many different ways to participate in family, parish, and community activities, so please, fill out and return the survey soon and remember to be generous with your time.
Yours in Christ, Terry
