KC Famlly Picnic
The upcoming Knights of Columbus August meeting will be held at Inis Grove Park at the east shelter house north of the tennis court parking lot. The picnic will begin with a Mass at 6:00 PM with dinner following. Bring your family, table service and one side dish to share.
Friendship Arc Construction Project
During the July meeting, Alan Christy, representing Friendship Arc asked that the Knights of Columbus provide support by volunteering to help remodel a house to be used for a mentally handicapped group home. This will involve help in remodeling a garage and living room. We have decided to support this effort and all the officers have been calling to ask for your assistance. The only tools recommended, but not needed, are a hammer, nail apron and tape measure. The dates for our volunteer help will be on Saturdays, Aug. 5th, 12tt, 26th, Sept. 2nd and 9th from 8AM to 4:30 PM. We will not be the only group donating labor. Many businesses are donating labor and materials. If you have not been contacted and would like to help with this most worthy cause, please contact Sly Upah at 232-6447.
Harvest Dance and Cornfest 2000
The Harvest Dance and Cornfest 2000 are set for Saturday & Sunday, August 19th & 20th at St. Cecilia's. The Knights of Columbus have been asked to provide the manpower for setup of a self serve beverage table for the Harvest Dance and for set-up, serving, and tear down of the beverage tent for Cornfest. Sly Upah is handling the work schedule, please call him with your support or he will have to call you.
Parish Golf Tournament
The Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 10. Send your registration forms to the parish office. If you have any questions, contact Dick Matt at 232-7688.
Phone-a-thon
The phone-a-thon is scheduled for September 23rd and will take place at the DOT again this year. Terry Herrman and Emil Polashek will be handling the arrangements. They will be seeking volunteers for this most worthy cause. Please volunteer your time as it is our largest fund raising event for the mentally handicapped.
