Tuition Grant Program
Any Merit employee, (E or H base), who has been employed at least half-time in a budgeted position for six months of uninterrupted service is eligible to apply for a tuition grant.
The purpose of the Tuition Grant Programs is to provide tuition reimbursement to eligible P&S and Merit staff members for up to 3 credits at the Iowa State University tuition rate. Tuition grants will be permitted for any courses offered for credit toward a degree or certificate by an accredited institution. The courses do not have to be taken at Iowa State University. The individual is not required to be a candidate for a degree or certificate to qualify for a tuition grant.

All S/C staff members are eligible for the Board of Regents Award for Staff Excellence as well as the ISU Alumni Association Superior Service Award given for outstanding service to the university in the work area.
