Applicant Criteria

As a training committee, we have set minimum criteria for applicants to be considered for our internship program. These criteria were designed to ensure that applicants are thoroughly prepared to begin the internship experience. 1. We prefer applicants from APA accredited doctoral programs in counseling psychology or clinical psychology. Applicants from programs currently seeking APA accreditation will be considered.
2. The applicant must have at least 400 AAPI intervention & assessment hours, a grand total of 1000 AAPI practicum hours, and 3 years minimum of graduate training.
3. The applicant must have completed a course in supervision or its equivalent.
4. Comprehensive examinations must be successfully completed by selection day.
5. We prefer that the applicant's dissertation proposal be accepted by the doctoral committee prior to selection day, but this is not a requirement.
