A note from Tina Book:
Dear Jerry and everybody else,
Today we took many pictures. I will split this mail into 3 parts because of the large pictures and hopefully they will be <500 kB each.
We want to Lund, which has a very old cathedral (1100) with a special astronomic clock. You can see where the sun, the moon and different planets are situated right now and the center of Universe is Lund. The first 5 pictures are taken inside the cathedral.
Then we went to Johanna Museum, you and Susan visited 1994. Sigurd surprised us with his band. He had invited another cousin of his and Violet, Bertil and his wife Carry. Sigurd started his band when he retired and they were 11 people then. Today they are about 5 I think and 3 of them played here. They played for 30 minutes while we had coffee and cookies.
Cindy found an old, interesting class room. Three pupils listened carefully to what she had to say. Then there is a picture of Sigurd, Violet and Bertil, 3 cousins.
Sven joined us at Aina and Sigurd's, where we had Swedish meatballs. Aina was pronounced the Queen of Meatballs! The young people had a lot of meatballs, one of them had 17, I will not tell who. Aina had to prepare an extra meatloaf. And spontaneously there was one table with cousins, one with 2nd cousins and one with 3rd cousins.
In the evening we went to the church of Vomb where we listened to gospel singers. Really very good. I think everybody liked it. The back to Aina and Sigurd's for coffee and family pictures. Today there were 20 of us and I used my self-timer, so THIS IS HOW I LOOK.
At the end some pictures of 2nd cousins and of 3rd cousins, I am sure you can see who they are. We were lucky with the weather today, it started to rain just as we were back for the coffee. Right now we have a small thunderstorm. Tomorrow we are going north along the west coast.
Regards from all of us,
Tina
