SPLIDA Splus Life Data Analysis
SPLIDA (Splus Life Data Analysis) is an add-on to S-PLUS. SPLIDA can
be downloaded from this page for free. SPLIDA consists of SPLUS
functions (which in many cases call underlying Fortran code) and a
GUI to do most of the computations needed to do the examples and
produce the figures in the 1998 Meeker and Escobar text
Statistical Methods for Reliability Data , published by John
Wiley and Sons, Inc. Example commands and data sets are provided for
almost all of the examples in the book.
SPLIDA has a graphical user interface (GUI) for much of the SPLIDA
functionality in Meeker and Escobar (1998). Additional functionality
is available at the command level. In future releases, the GUI will
be extended to the other parts of SPLIDA to provide additional
advanced methods and graphics for reliability data analysis. Draft
documentation for the GUI (which containes many examples) is
available, as described below.
You must have a Windows version of S-PLUS to actually run SPLIDA. S-PLUS is a very powerful graphics/analysis/computing environment. S-PLUS is a commercial package that can be purchased from the Insightful corporation (www.insightful.com/splus) .

here to download the May 28, 2008 version (Version 6.8.6) of SPLIDA for S-PLUS 6.x. and 7.0Note that to install a new version of SPLIDA, if you are already using it, all you need to do is to delete the c:\Splida folder and unzip the new version. Because of the way that S-PLUS works, it is generaly unsafe to just over-write the old version.
A version of SPLIDA is still available for S-PLUS 2000. This version of SPLIDA is no longer supported, but can be downloaded from here.
Because SPLIDA is free, it comes with no guarantee. SPLIDA has, however, been extensively checked for correctness and I try to respond to and repair bugs when they are reported.
