Note: One ``tour'' bus arrived very late due to
severe weather conditions so many scheduled matches
were altered. Prince injured by mysterious cloaked figure
as he was entering locker room.
Seen at top of show getting medical attention for his leg.
``Return to Reno'' Round II - Part One Results:
- Marshall vs. LGM originally was Marshall vs. Surfer Dude
Heavyweight Contender match with the loser returns to the lightweight division.
LGM in a long matchup shows its unique PPV luck and
powers by defying the odds and defeating the Marshall in
a long and surprisingly well-executed opening match.
Result: LGM by submission. Marshall returns to the lt. division.
- Techno Thompson vs. Golden Dragon with Fujisan- was
Vogue vs. Dragon
Intercontinental contender match.
Fujisan couldn't help the Dragon enough and he goes down quickly to
the ex-Tag Team Champion due to a possible fast count by Ref. Dave Hebner.
Result: Techno by pinfall on a fast count.
- *Tumbleweeds vs. Pulp Fiction - Gold Bullet Challenge!
**For the WWF Tag Team Championship!**
Tumbleweeds get $10,000 for showing up to match and if they win
they additionally get the Regency's Gold bullet.
Tumbleweeds allow King to substitute for the injured Prince
after receiving $10,000 fee from King for showing up. ]newline
A long match ensued that could have gone either way.
In the end, either King pins Rustler or Rustler pins King.
Ref. Joey Morella accidentally crowned by Surfer Dude
during Regency/Tumbleweeds melee on way
to give announcement concerning his match decision.
Ref. and Ox taken out on a stretcher during post-match and intially ``no result'' is given
for the match.
In the back, Regency parties about the Pulp Fiction victory.
- *Pirate Pete vs. Lone Star Kid was Pete vs. Billy Banzai
**For the WWF Intercontinental Title.**
In a long endurance match in which the Lone Star Kid showed a surprising
amount of durability, Pete eventually tires the LSK out and pins him
in the center of the ring.
Result: Pirate Pete by pinfall- retains Int. Title but a good try by LSK.
- Wyld Stallyons vs. Posse- tag contender match
Student Prince shows up limping but King Lawlyer
insists that Prince wrestle so that the Prince can
get his royal stipend. Prince makes a deal with
Posse so that Harlequin can substitute for Prince
for first tag.
Match starts as LSK manhandles Surfer Dude.
LSK tags the Marshall who can't keep up the momentum.
But Dude tags Marshall's old enemy Harlequin and
the Marshall rises to the occassion.
Another tag is made and Harlequin nearly
puts away the Lone Star Kid. Tags on both sides
and in comes the Prince and with a sneaky rollup
he pins the Marshall!
Result: Wyld Stallyons by pinfall! First ever tag win ever for the
Stallyons!
At this point, Joe Tunney comes to the ring and states that the referee of the
Tag Title match is not yet conscious but that he had another ref. at ringside
and that he will allow the Student Prince make the final match decision.
Prince, a personal friend of Ref. Joey Morella, declares the Tumbleweeds
Champions by Rustler pinning the King.
Result: Tumbleweeds by pinfall. Tumbleweeds retain tag belts.
Rustler celebrates near Prince while Regency drums out Prince and King
declares that Prince must wrestle at this PPV or he will not get his royal pay.
Note: At this point, with a massive storm underway outside- a Mobil Oil
truck ran over the transmission cable and show ends in sudden darkness just as
the Greyhound ``tour'' bus arrives.
