Hey, I just wanted to say that for the past about 4 or 5 years Nickeloden has changed so much and they took all the good shows off, like Are you afraid of the dark, What would you do, Hey Dude, you cat do that on television, Welcome freshmen, and salut e your shorts. They reples all those good shows with stupid cartoons like rocket power and spongebob. I never realize this until yesterday when me and my friend (and i dont know how it came up) but we started talkin about nickeloden and all the good ol d shows that we grew up with an seriosly i wanna crycuz i miss em all so much. And I know they cant make new episdes now but they coul at least sho reruns of the shows for people like us who loved them and grew up to them. And keep posted if any of you can find ways to see he , o even somehow get them on tape or whatever, but i miss thoses shows so much!

I loved this show as kid and was so happy when I found this site!! Me and some other friends here at my college were reminising last night, and I just had to see if there was a site out there, thanks!! The only thing that isn't all that great about the site is it takes so long to download the "sounds", and we have a new computer here, it shouldn't take this long!!

This was like, my favorite show period when I was younger. This has got to be one of the best shows Nickelodeon put out and I'm so glad to see a webpage devoted to it. Not many of my old favorite shows have pages since people give up and/or forget abou t them. Kudos!

Camp Anawanna. My favorite one was when they had the capture the flag balloon game and budnick got hit a bunch of times in slow motion. it was funny. this show kicked ass and kicks the asses of all the sh*t on nickelodeon now like taina and that show about the "bad" girl who likes horses. thats all sh*t. long live salute your shorts.

I am so glad that somebody agrees w/ me on old school nick being the best. I mean what the heck is w/ that Amanda Show crap and the new cast of All That???? it just doesn't cut it. I personally detest catdog and hey arnold. I loved Wild and Crazy Ki ds and Hey Dude! those were like the best shows ever! I also loved Clarissa Explains it All w/ Fergison who needed to be slapped. even though all the great shows are off nickelodeon now, i seriously think they should put them back on. i remember back when i was like 10 and would spend my sunday afternoon watching salute your shorts, hey dude, clarissa explains it all, welcome fre shman, you cant do that on television, are you afraid of the dark, my brother and me, and much more with my friends. those were great shows, and it seems like the only thing that is decent on nick now is doug. that network has seriously gone down the drai n and i feel sorry for kids of this generation because they have nothing to watch.

OMG, i was in love with all of the old shows! My friend found this site because me and her were trying to remember how the theme song of Salute Your Shorts went! We dwelled over it for like 2 days! I have noticed that on sunday nights, they play Clarissa but they need to bring back ALL those good shows. I mean come on, did Nick forget their roots or what. Thanks for the great site! Notice to oldskool Nick fans: watch for SYS episodes on ebay, and check places like Big Lots/ Odd Lots--I scored two original SNICK episodes and a Noozles tape a while ago! Pete and Pete fans: I've encountered several of the 3-song Polaris tapes (available through sending boxtops from Frosted MiniWheats several years ago) at Goodwill!! Hope this helps- keep the letters flowin to Nick and let's get all of the beloved classics back: SYS (remember when Ugh ordered a popcorn and "you to go" from the movie concessions lady?!?), Rocko, Weinerville, AH real monsters, Alex Mack, My Bro and Me (Dee's Cool Dr. Money haircut...hehe...and the product placement of North Carolina's historically Black colleges like Winston-Salem State...yes !!!) When I was a little kid, this was by far my favorite show. I miss a lot of the old shows, mostly Clarissa and Are You Afraid of the Dark and Ren and Stimpy. All we have is this Wild Thornberry's crap and &%$#@! Rocket Power!!! How can these kids think these shows are good? Oh, and don't get me started on "Taina"! Thanks for making this page.

I really miss those old shows like Rocko's Modern Life, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, My Brother and Me, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and especially Salute Your Shorts. I watched Salute Your Shorts when I was about 6 and I NEVER missed it!! I absolut ely loved it! It's absolutely heartbreaking to know that those great shows are gone. Nowadays, they have crappy shows like Spongebob, Wild Thornberrys, Rocketpower, and Lord knows what else. It's absolute crap and kids these days are so unlucky. Nickelod eon was so much better 10 years ago and I would do anything to bring back the OLD nick and I mean ANYTHING. Like everyone else said, Nick should have like a seperate Nick chanel for old shows or a marathon. That would totally awesome!!!!

Back in the day, I would sit laughing all night remembering that one episode of my brother and me. NOw, all the shows are crap. First off, 90 % of them are those gay ass cartoons (uh hum... catdog,wild thornberrys). THANK GOD!!!! I'm not alone!!! I remember the old shows too, Ren and Stimpy, Rocko, Pete&Pete, Clarissa, Welcome Freshmen, Hey Dude!, Roundhouse, Nick Arcade, Legends, and especially Salute Your Shorts!!!!!!!! I LOVE that show. It totally blows the se other sh*t cartoons (almost all are made in Japan now) out of the water. The youth of today really are missing out on a lot by not having the memories of these shows. Those lazy weekends when you knew your refuge was a warm couch, a bowl of Lucky Cha rms and those awesome shows. I used to race home to catch old episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark, and so on. I remember the original Snick too. All my friends and I have now seems to be the memories of watching those shows and reminicing about our favorite episodes. I really hope there's at least a marathon or something. Instead of showing Wonder Years or whatever on Nick at Nite, they should run the old Nick shows. Wow! Reading all this is bringing back so many memories! My fav Nick shows were Hey Dude!, SYS, Clarissa, Welcome Freshman, Are You Afraid of the Dark... basically all of the at the time :) It's so not the same now and unfortunately, I don't think Nick will ever be back up to that caliber :( :( I'm sad because I know that even if they resurrect some of these shows, it just won't be the same. The actors will all be different and it will have a different feeling. Oh well, I guess we'll just have to keep sharing stories of memories. I'd love to get my hands on some old episodes of all these shows for old times sake! Maybe Nick will have a marathon like they did a few years back. That would be the greatest :) Ciao for now!!!

Okay, I LOVED nickelodeon when I was a kid. I grew up with Salute Your Shorts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Dude, Rocko's Modern Life, and my favorite, Clarissa Explains It All. I used to wish I could be as cool as Clarissa. Anyways, (tear) I w ill always have that warm place in my heart for those shows; I remember when a friend and I threatened to write a letter to Nickelodeon asking them to bring back Are You Afraid of the Dark, cuz that was what we went straight to watching when we got home. we both think salute your shorts was cool as well as many other older nick shows. We are 18 now and look on the "snick" (yes, the original snick : clarissa, roundhouse, ren and stimpy, and are you afraid of the dark) with fond memories and a warm pla ce in our heart. Let's face it, we all watched nick all weekend. It was our saftey blanket from the dangers of the elementary education. It was two days of eating sugary cereal and plopping on the worn couch or bed, immersing ourselves in countless hours of various nick shows. And our parents thought it was good becuase it didn't teach us bad words like boobs and crap. We could have failed math tests, spilled our milk, had to sit with the principal during recess, but they couldn't take our nick away. So w e say thanks to Budnick, Clarrisa, Donkeylips, Powdered Toast Man, Rocko, Heffer, Phil Moore, Marc Summers and Harvey, Filburt, Mrs. Woolf, Almac, Tommy, Chuckie, Phil & Lil and even yes you Angelica because even thought you were a brat, we were too! we w ere brats watching nickeldeon, and they took it away...... (tears)

I honestly need to say-- Salute Your Shorts was a cool show on Nick. I loved the older shows like SYS, Hey Dude, maybe Figure It Out, Legends of the Hidden Temple, You Can't Say That on Television, and I LOVED Nick Arcade! It was on in the morning and I used to wake up every weekend morning to watch it. All there is now is Nicktoons and stuff that I don't want to watch. Right now, TeeNick on Sundays is cool, because they sometimes play Clarissa Explains It All, and they play Kenan & Kel. But all I am a sking for is Nickelodeon to have a lot of old shows on often, like the weekend like old times. But for now, memories remain...

I thought I was the only person still stuck in the past. It's so ignorant that a lot of young people today grow up so closed-mind. Just because something is from the past does not lessen it's value. Please, Nickelodeon, you are obviously at loss for fresh ideas. I used to watch Salute Your Shorts every afternoon. Budnick defined the classic teenage rebel, just as Dina defined the classic eighties material girl, and Donkeylips defined the overweight kid that everyone eventually used for their benefi t. I miss Welcome, Freshmen. Remember Merv and the Mystery Meat? The Homeroom Announcements: "Yeah...I'd knock 'em dead..." When I was eleven or so, these shows made me want to be like the characters, and they made high school look cool. I have already graduated, and what a disappointment for those four years. Salute your shorts is the greatest show. And you guys are right, Nick plays only cartoons now, and extremely crappy ones at that. i am really getting sick of nick it's no longer good. I can remember when i would sit in front of the tv and laugh all day at the great shows. Solute your shorts and hey dude where the best shows they showed and i just loved them. Then when they were c anceled without warning i was dumbstruct with rage. After that I didn't watch nick for a long time. Well until alein strange and animorphs aired. Then i was further dismayed when they were canceled also right after they aired a movie on the shows when we all were awed and waiting for what was to come. How many more dissipontments will we have to indure. All of the the classic and great tv shows have been replaced with horrific shows that lowers your iq by like 100 pionts when you watch them. I didn't atte nd to spend my summers watching those fools steve and blue in the morning and those stupid brain roting shows in the afternoon such as sponge bob something or the other.

I really miss this show and I think that Nickelodeon should bring back the show. I want the show back so does alot of the other Nickelodeon fans it was a really funny show and we all miss the show alot. Please Nickelodeon please bring back the show I think you shopuld take off Nick Jr and Nick at nite since there is tv land and put the old shows on then and you can put the new ones on inbetween there. It's sad that Nick is taking off some of the best shows they had for juvenile cartoons like catdog. Sooner or later, they'll take off rugrats. They already took off Doug, and that show wasn't the best. But no, Salute Your Shorts. No... that show was a legend. During summers, everyone would gatehr around the TV and sing. "Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts.. and when we think about you, it make me wanna fart." The people would laugh and then look forward to Stick Stickley's song during the break. Who could forget Donkeylips, Zeke, Telly, "Bobby Budnick," Dina, Kevin,Michael, Roony, or Sponge?? They could at least show Salute Your Shorts on weekends, but now they don't even do that. So sad, So sad...

OMG~ I love all the Old School Shows. I know that they have 90's classics on Sunday. But they only have Clarissa and a few others( don't get me wrong that's one of the best shows) But they need more time and more old shows. I used to love SYS, and all of the other shows people in the guestbook have already mentioned. "David and the Gnomes" was the best cartoon ever! And does anybody remember "Get Smart?" This show was awesome!! I think I watched every episode twice! Other cool Nick shows were Clarissa Explains it all, are you afraid of the dark? Salute Your Shorts was an Awesome show!!!! i remember watching the show all the time and i saw the reruns over and over again. Nickelodeon really does suck now. Why did they take Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude, the Adventures of Pete and Pete, Alex Mac k(damn, she was hot!) Wild 'n' Crazy kids, and all the other classic "great" shows off the air. I love Salute your shorts. But manly I love Bobby Budnick. I had forgotten about old Budnick and his antics until i recently watched t2 judgment day. How could one not likeBudnick. And Donkey Lips too. Seriously,Budnick was awesome when he told the l' bastards about Zeke the plumber. But my favorite thing Budnick did(besides piss off old Ug, actually he has done so many great things this isn't my favorite but it's up there and deserves honorable mention) was when he had that goddam acoustic guitar and was playing a song for Dina and singing "Dina, oh yeaaah Dina" in his raspy deep voice, that guy had to go through puberty at like age five, seriously. I dont if that is actually what old bobbo was singing cause i haven't seeen it in years, but i think thats it. I also love Dlips. Camp Anawanna was my haven as a child, i used it to get out of the daily troubles of being a small child. I remember Awful Waffle, and feeling bad for sponge. I used to watch Salute Your Shorts when it originally aired in the early 90s. It was a pretty cool show. Nickelodeon kept reruns on until a couple years ago. They should make another Nickelodeon channel devoted to Nickelodeon shows that aired in the la te 80s and early 90s. I have found a few Salute Your Shorts websites and occassionaly I find some items on eBay. I've probably seen all the episodes, but there may have been one I have missed. It would be nice to watch this show again.
