I am Salute Your Shorts's biggest fan! I love that show to no end... Their biggest mistake was taking it off air. I want it back along with all the other awesome shows I watched growing up like Ledgends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Dude, Nick Arcade, What Would You Do, Clarissa Explains It All, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and all of the classics. These shows are my childhood! I want them back!

OMG I loved this show so much. I have GAS but am disappointed it went off the air. My favorite episode was the pie fight with Telle and Dina it was so funny. Then UG gets hit with one. There were some other great shows out there like Legends of the Hidden Temple, Hey Dude, Nick Arcade, What Would You Do and others. I think they should let us choose what we want. After all we give them our money by watching what they put. But seriously for once we should get Salute Your Shorts and all those other shows on the air even if it is for just one summer. Think of the increase in interest and money it would bring. And the perfect host would be Stick Stickley. This would be one great summer for all of us if you did it just this one time.

Salute your shorts was truly one of many of my favorite shows. Clarrissa Explains it All, Land of the lost,Pete & Pete, the original cast of Are You Afraid of the Dark, etc. Whoever thinks there should be a nickelodeon classics channel, I'm WITH YOU 100%

I would just like to know what has happened to all of our old T.V. shows? Who remembers the greats like Salute your shorts, Hey Dude, My Brother and me, Land of the Lost, Space Cases, Pete and Pete, Are you afraid of the Dark, Legend of the lost temple, Nick arcade... I could just go on all day. But now, we have this new crap like Rocket Power, Rugrats: All grown up, which may I add was a corruption of the Rugrats, As told by ginger, and the two most idiotic and pointless shows I have ever seen in my entire life, Catdog and the Wild Thornberries. And then we have this stupid stuff about Teen Nick. Not ever have I watched Teen Nick and enjoyed it. I remember my old friends and I getting popcorn and pop while watching snick. The thing that I do not get most is why they created Teen Nick. They apparently wanted to reach out to the teenagers and get them to watch Nicelodeon. Well, everybody I have talked to wants the old shows back. SO WHY DON'T THE BRING BACK THE CLASSICS? Geez, it isn't that hard to figure out. I just don't get Nickelodeon anymore. It is so boring and pointless. They need to bring back the oldies, or they are gonna lose so many viewers that it won't even be funny...well, to them at least. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
P.S. To any fans or creators of this website, YOU ALL ROCK!

F*ck Nickelodeon...they wouldn't know a good series if it bit them on their fat orange ass. Anyway, Salute your shorts was the coolest show on TV at the time and it still ranks way up there in my book. The only show I still remember vividly from when I was a kid. And Mark, thanks for that quote.

Hey! Back again! The words to the "Salute Your Shorts" theme song is as follows:We run, we jump, we swim and play
We row and go on trips
But the things that last forever are our dear friendships.Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts
And when we think about you
It makes me wanna fart!
--"It's 'I hope we never part'
Now get it right or pay the price!"Now we will share a lifetime of the fondest memories
By the lake of Anawanna
Set in the old pine treesCamp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts
And when we think about you
(This thing came apart)Think Anawanna
Speak Anawanna
Live Anawanna -- Ugh!

The reason I came to this site was because I was trying to find the words to the theme song. Does anyone remember how it went? I used to love that show, and the definitely need to put it back on Nick. All they have on Nickelodeon is stupid shows like Rocket Power! I hate that show! One of my other favorites was "What Would You Do?". I loved that show too! Well, I'm just glad I found this site and saw how much everyone still cares about this show.~Lindsey

I miss all of the old shows from the early 90's. They were so great. And actualy The N doesnt play old Nick shows anymore, they stopped showing then like 6 months ago. There should be a network like Nick@nite for us older teens/younger adults where they show all of those old Nick shows. That would be the best thing ever!

For those of you who don't know, there's a network called Noggin that plays little kids stuff during the day (Blues clues, etc), but in the evening it turns into "The N" and plays stuff from our golden days: Clarissa Explains it All, Pete and Pete, etc... I never saw them playing SYS, but I'm sure that most of you who loved this show loved all the others Nick was showing at the time!

Thanks for all your kind comments guys. I've been having a rough time of late but should get things going again soon.Had an odd dream a few nites ago, I was in a 'Pete and Pete' episode in the dream sitting on some steps in front of the Wrigley's house. Little Pete on his bike and Ellen are nearby but Big Pete comes up to me and says "You've been flying pretty high but now you need to come back down to Earth." Then he grabs my arm and drags me over to Little Pete and Ellen. Weird... I wonder which episode of 'Pete and Pete' that line is from...?

Tim/Trevor Eyster was living around Chicago for a while so it could very well have been him.
I have been a fan of the show since I was 6 in 1992. I saw the show on nick gas this summer and later found this site. I like this site as much as the show, it is the best!!! I think I might have even seen the actor who played sponge in Chicago a few weeks ago. It would be nice to have the show back on the air.

when i was younger i used to watch this show everytime it would come on. Because my brother and i grew up on shows like, are you afraid of the dark, legends of the hidden temple, and this one which was like our favorite. its apart of my childhood and i think it would be good for it to be apart of the next generations childhood to, i might be talking like an old person but its true there really isn't no more good shows like it hardly anymore. But iwould just love for them to put it back on for good! so would my friends too, because they grew up on it just like i did and it just saddens us to see that its gone it makes us just about want to cry, so hopefully they will bring it back

Oh lord. How I loved Camp Anawanna. I play softball and every away game without fail the team sings the theme song. It's timeless. What happened to all the good shows? Salute Your Shorts? Pete and Pete? The original Are You Afraid of the Dark? Rugrats before Susie and Dill? The original Power Rangers? I could go on. Those were classics I grew up with, and they should be available on DVD or have their own channel or something. :'( Salute Your Shorts forever!

I used to watch this show all the time on tv, so then I started to pretend I went to this camp. I imagined all the characters meeting me and I interacted with them daily in my head. Many years later when I thought back to my days as a camper at Camp Anawanna, i had forgotten that I actually didn't go there for real, but only in my mind. I had to explain all this to my thearpy mentor after I yelled at him for saying it was impossible for me to have been at camp anawanna.

I grew up watching Salute Your Shorts and for some odd reason felt the need today to look up a website on it because I couldn't remember anyone from the cast except Donkeylips. :) My favorite episode was the one about Zeek th e Plumber. Muwhaha! I wish Nick would start making shows like SYS, Pete&Pete, etc. again... I may be in college but I'd watch'em... Actually... Salute Your Shorts reminds me A LOT of college life! LOL! Thanks for making such a great site!

Salute Your Shorts was my favorite show growing up! If I've seen it in the past 6 years it would probably still be one of my favorites! To bad i don't have GAS, otherwise i'd be able to watch it... :(

I was a camp counselor this summer, and all I can say is "if only it were like Camp Anawanna." Ahh, nostalgia.

It was so much fun watching the campers & their experiences & practical jokes. It made me laugh constantly. I loved that show.

OMG i loved this show soo much. I really think that Nick should make a televison network devoted to the shows of the late 80's and early 90's. that was the best time for kids to grow up watching those shows!

Welcome back campers! 'Salute Your Shorts' is back on the air on Nick Gas and I couldn't be happier. Oh! Plus the guestbook is open once again for your comments. Please keep it clean and keep the anti-Nick comments to a minimum.
