COURSE GRADE: The final
grade for this course will be determined by
your performance on homework assignments (50 pts), five
in-class quizzes (250 pts), group project (100 pts)
and the final exam (100 pts).

CLASS ATTENDANCE:
You are responsible for all material presented in class and/or
assigned as required reading.

HOMEWORK: A Homework
set, containing about four problems
will be assigned on Thursdays as per the schedule given
below. The homework set is due by 5pm, next Thursday
at the TA's office . Only a selected part of
the homework will be graded. For solutions to homework
set problems, check out the
library electronic reserve page.
GROUP PROJECT:
Each student has to complete
an out-of-class group data collection and analysis project. Details of
the project will be discussed later ( second/third week of classes).

FINAL EXAM
: A 2 hour, 100 point comprehensive
final examination will be given during the finals week.
Everyone (including the
graduating seniors) need to take the final exam.
