Welcome to my Pioneer Trail Research page. My trail research goal is to very accurately locate the actual trail treads and routes by site visits, detailed study of original journals and government documents, computer-aided analysis, and careful comparison of old maps with modern topographic knowledge. My documentation methods include creating annotated topo maps and research documents and photographing the trail. Other supporting documentation consists of general route descriptions and detailed place name descriptions and databases.
