My appointment at ISU is a 9-month B-base appointment. I do teaching and
research for the Fall and Spring semesters of each academic year. During
the summer months, I leave the ISU campus and Iowa to do field research on
historic trails in the west such as the Lewis and Clark Trail and the Nez
Perce Trail.
