Welcome to my Historic Trail Research page. I have been doing research on historic roads and trails in Montana and Idaho since 1985. The main goal of my research is to accurately locate these old routes and precisely document them for historical archives. I am also writing books, illustrated with maps and photos, on the history of these trails.

This web site is divided into two areas. The first is a public site containing information of general interest including general-interest maps and photos of the trails I've documented. The second area contains specific intellectual property that I make available to people with a need for detailed information about the trails.
