My research interests are primarily in behavioral and evolutionary ecology. Specifically, I am interested in the evolution of phenotypic plasticity, particularly in reproductive strategies. This includes topics such as how to divide resources between current and future reproduction, offspring size and number, and male and female offspring (or egg and sperm). In addition, I explore how plasticity may be part of an adaptive response to stressors such as parasitic infection and climate change. I have used both theoretical and empirical approaches to explore these questions. I have previously worked with mammals and am now working with turtles. |
