Ever since da great Don Knuth spent ten years of his life developing My favourite font is Granjon Linotype, and I became a convert after reading a version of "The Master of Go" by Yasunari Kawabata, set in the type, and the readability was marvellous. But, I have the feeling that for the web, sans-serif fonts are the best. Probably this is because the extra lines of Serif fonts have the effect of cluttering up the screen.
