J Random Hacker Goes to Pisa

How a computer scientist managed to commit suicide through time travel

In an attempt to apply the techniques of modern day computer science to Physics, J Random Hacker, an eminent computer scientist, goes to Pisa in the 16th century.

He meets Galileo, has a chat, and decides to take over from Galileo the task of dropping objects from the leaning tower [don't let them fool you with the story of the inclines - it is not abstract enough!]

Now, applying the most common methodolgy in computer science, J Random Hacker, thinks of a good model for the experiment. The Occam's Razor in computer science is " the Extreme Case "

So, he says, take a cannonball, take a feather, drop it from the tower ...

Thus pre-emptively destroying all physics and therefore mechanical and electrical engineering, our eminence annihilates himself.

Dost thou feel that extreme case analysis is error-prOne?
