Welcome!
Comments from Jonathan Sankey:
I am very excited for the adventure ahead of me, and truly honored to be able to serve my country that has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities. Below, you will find a brief history about me and where I come from. I was born in Ames, Iowa, and lived there during my youth. My parents names are Scott and Jody, and I have one older sister named Megan. My father is an Architect and works for RDG Planning and Design in Des Moines, Iowa. My mother is a secretary at Casey's General Stores Headquarters in Ankeny. My sister recently graduated Pharmacy school and works as a Pharmacist for K-Mart in Mason City, Iowa. Over Thanksgiving break this year, I married my girlfriend of seven years, Mary. She is currently a student at Iowa State majoring in Communication Studies with minors in both Religion and Music. We are enjoying our lives as newlyweds, and our excited about our future together. My family and I moved to Ankeny when I was five years old, and still currently preside there. I went through the entire Ankeny school system where I graduated in 2004. In High School, I was a very busy student. I was involved in both sports and the arts. For sports, I ran Cross Country, was on the swim team, and ran track. In the arts, I was involved in band, marching band, choir, and show choir. I originally went to college at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. I loved the school, but always had a calling to be in the military. My dream was to fly, so when the opportunity to join the Air Force ROTC opened up at Iowa State, I took it. I am now closer to home, and my dream has come true. I was recently selected as a Navigator, and will spend my career flying for the United States Air Force. Please feel free to look around at my website. You will find links above that will take you to my Efolio, education, work experience, and some links to organizations I am affiliated with. Thank you so much for visiting my site. Feel free to contact me at sankjo01@iastate.edu. Thanks! Jonathan Sankey |
