I'd like the works please!
Contour drawing   First drawing   Vase   Little Ankeny Memorial
Amost done
This is our first major project. It is a contour, that will have weighted lines in the end.
  Rough vase
This is the first drawing that we drew, I fixed the awfulness of it.
  Drink from the vase
This is the completed 'model' of the picture to the left... Look at those 'empathetic' lines!?!?
  Nuclear monument
This is a memorial that the dsn 183 class had to create for a uranium purification building.

Still a Life   Spaces Last Draw   The hallway!   Invented Forms
Colored fun
Colored pencil!!! This was fun medium, finally. We used a very rough toothed paper though, which made detailing difficult
  Invented color space
Our final drawing, done at the same time as the one to the left, except it was to be based on our invented forms, not super fun.
  The power of Howe
So, we did another perspective, except it was out of the design college, and in the engineering buildings, quite fun, mine was in Howe!
  Invented space
This was probably my least favorite assignment thus far, creating forms from the imagination and putting them on paper, ironically, it was one of my best grades!?!?

made-up interior   Conte Still Life   Where I work   Where I work
My kitchen
Following with the perspective we had to create a room of our choosing, and design it from magazine clippins and our heads, this was fun!
  The hand
We got our first try with a new medium, conte, a.k.a. pastels, it was fun-ish but a little difficult to work with, layering and all.
  Dsn hallway
Our newest project was a perspective drawing from somewhere with in the DC. I got 3rd floor by the Prf. Richard's studio.
  Where I work
This is where I was working, or how rather. don't be decieved, there is a pillow in that backpack!

The Ring   Corny   doorway
Postcard Project
this is my first real attempt at the postcard project, I figured there was too much negative elements, so I switched my design.
  Postcard Project2
My second attempt, from this you can really tell just how much I love Iowa! This picture was made out of a combination of a Heartfield image and an actual Iowa postcard!

Doorway Project
This is the so called 'modrallage' a hybrid composition between a motion-drawing-collage, yehaw.

So, here is what's up

I have started this page for two reasons: First, it is a trial for how well Dreamweaver will work. Second, I thought I should make a place where the class work can be displayed.I have my studio with Ms. Pappenheimer. (I hope I spelt that right) Who is a joking teacher, I cannot complain. Overal, I love all of my classes here at I.S.U..

11/10/06

Right now Nov. 10th we are working with conte,,, it is a medium much like oil pastels. it is semi fun, but hard to use, though I like it much more than just solid varied line drawings... boring! The first semester is under the belt. the works posted were all of my better pieces, with some random things too. All in all I find that it was a great semester, educational wise, and friend wise, perhaps we will all have a class together again in the future. Cheers!

2/3/07

I have started my second semester of college, which means, horay! Design 102. My teacher, Mr. Griffiths is a pretty interesting guy, he is from london (I think), and often times has a good tale to tell! Thus far the course has been interesting, though work intensive. We have started off on the "Poster Project," which is basically making an 18x24 inch postcard for Iowa with given materials. Not the most fun project, but it did prove to be a little fun!
