"My vision for writing this book actually evolved from my difficulties in finding the book that integrates the theories and applications of anaerobic process with emphasis on resource recovery.  As a good researcher, graduate student, instructor and engineer, I was relentlessly looking for such book that quenches my thirst of finding information which could advance my understanding of anaerobic process.  This book is nothing more than the outcome of these desires." 

Title: Fundamentals of Anaerobic Biotechnology

 

About the book: This book covers both fundamental and application aspects of anaerobic biotechnology.  The fundamentals elucidate the basics of anaerobic process followed by applications of these basics in waste treatment (both liquid and solid streams) and resource recovery.  Each chapter covers a state-of-the-art and most updated literature review. Full chapters are devoted on some of the new topics such as biohydrogen fermentation, ANAMMOX, anaerobic membrane bioreactor, high solid digestion. Besides, numerous pertinent calculations and design examples are solved at the end of each chapter. I sincerely believe that this book will be a useful treasure for senior undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, consulting engineers and instructors.
