My
interests and hobbies…
I have traveled many states as a passenger sitting in this
authentic 1993 Chevy Caprice police package.
I have traveled to Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Kentucky,
Tennessee, North Carolina, Canada, Illinois, Arkansas, and many parades in Iowa
representing a few political figures. Pictured with me are friends and owners
of the car (Norm Spurlock and daughter Elizabeth). Each year Norm finds
something new to add to the car. Most recently it is adding more “blinky
lights” and siren noises.
My most hilarious memory in this car was traveling down the
interstate in Missouri and dropping something off of the dash that hit the
siren button just as a large gravel truck was coming off of a merging ramp. I
did not realize what I had just did, and Norm was just as startled and puzzled
as the other drivers until he realized it was his car making the noise…after he
got everything under control we laughed all the way home. The traffic was all
heading for the side of the road…when I mention it we still get a good laugh.

The friends I have made in this club are priceless! We all
look forward to the next year when we can get together and catch up on what has
been happening in each other’s lives.
I also enjoy traveling internationally, and as a youth I
traveled to England, Scotland, Wales, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Japan,
Australia, and New Zealand as a short term missionary. Each trip was a new and

College has kept me very busy the last two years, and I have
focused primarily on school. I still have two years to go, and I am finally
adjusting to life in Ames, Iowa.
