Math 165 - Calculus I Quiz
Time, Place
The quiz will be during class time in the usual class room, lasting 20 minutes only. We WILL have a regular class before it! we cannot afford to waste 30 minutes of class time.
Bring your ISU ID card and know your recitation section!
Material covered
Sections 5.1, 5.2 of the textbook (ie antiderivatives, differential equations).
There will be one question about an antiderivative and one about a differential equation.
Either one could be a word problem, too (in that case the actual equation to solve would be simpler). At least one question will include working out the constant that appears during the solving process.
Calculators ...
... are allowed. No textbook/notes.
Practice for the quiz
- Look at suggested homework questions, not just the hand-in questions.
- Look at the relevant section of the textbook and the worked examples there.
- If that still leaves questions, see or email your TA. Or go to SI, or the Math Help Room, or see me.
