Homework and quizzes:  Suggested homework will be released for each week and not collected. Instead, each quiz will fall on a Friday and is worth 20 points. There are about 12 quizzes given (except exam week). Problems of each quiz are similar to the suggested homework set. I will only record 10 quiz scores and your worst 2 of these scores will be dropped.

Exams: We will have 3 one-hour exams throughout the course. Only best 2 of your scores are counted. Each one is worth 100 points.  There will be a uniform midterm worth 150 points and it is 90 minutes. The final exam will also 120 minutes and is worth 150 points, also.

Course Policy:  Your overall grade for this course will be based on three in-class tests, a departmental midterm exam, a departmental final exam, weekly quizzes.

Generally, making up will not be allowed for mid-term and final exam; you need to contact with me regarding this issue.
