Homework and quizzes: 1. Suggested homework will be released for each week and not collected. It is your responsibility to do them. 2. Each quiz will fall on a Friday and is worth 20 points. There are about 12 quizzes given (except exam week). Problems of each quiz are similar to the suggested homework set. Exams: 1. We will have 2 one-hour exams throughout the course. Each one is worth 100 points. 2. There will be a departmental midterm worth 150 points. It will be given on Thursday, Oct 9th. 3. The departmental comprehensive final exam is worth 150 points, and it will be given during the final week.
Course Policy:
Your
overall grade for this course will be based on three in-class tests, a
departmental midterm exam, a departmental final exam, weekly quizzes.

Make-up Policies:
Note
there is no make-up for any quiz unless you bring the formal document of the
doctor. You should let me know in advance if you need to take the test in a
different time. Generally, making up will not be allowed for mid-term and final
exam; you need to contact with me regarding this issue.
Cheating:
Cheating will not be tolerated. If
you are caught cheating, you will receive a zero on the test, exam, quiz, or
homework.
Disabilities Statement:
If a student
has a disability that qualifies under the Americans with Disabilities Act and
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and requires accommodations, he/she should
contact the Disability Resources (DR) office for information on appropriate
