Textbook: Brief Calculus: an applied approach, by Sullivan, 8th edition
Course Objective: This course is designed to learn Differential Calculus and its application to Business, Economics and
Social Science. The main topics emphasized in this course are:
1.
Differentiation
and integration of the functions and their applications
2.
Exponential and Logarithmic
functions and applications
3. Applications to max-min problems, integral calculus and applications.
Prerequisite: Satisfactory performance on placement exam, 2 years of high school algebra, 1 year of high school
geometry.
