AnnouncementsSpring 2010 Surcharge At its December 10, 2009 meeting, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa approved a $100 temporary surcharge per full-time student (prorated for part-time students), effective for Spring 2010. The updated Spring 2010 tuition and fee tables include the surcharge. At its February 4, 2010 meeting, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa voted to rescind the $100 temporary surcharge, contingent upon the Iowa Legislature approving Gov. Chet Culver’s proposal for supplementary appropriations to the three regent universities yet this fiscal year. If the surcharge is rescinded per the above action, the amount of the surcharge will be credited back to student accounts as appropriate. Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice. Tuition and mandatory fees are approved by the University and Board of Regents, State of Iowa. Fall and spring semester tuition and fees are based on credit load at 5:00 p.m. on the 10th day of class. This is the last day for adjustments downward in tuition and fee assessment. Call the fees area of the Office of the Registrar for further information about summer assessment.
