My areas of interest include professional and technical communication; collaboration, groups, and teams; communication assessment; communication in the disciplines and professions; intercultural/international communication; and risk communication.

I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in professional and technical communication; conduct workshops on a range of topics in professional and technical communication, curriculum development, and assessment; and work as a consultant and expert witness for clients in high tech, traditional, and service industries as well as non-profit, government, and educational organizations.
