A Little About Myself At Iowa State:

I am a freshmen at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. I am currently majoring in materials engineering. I am also in the Freshmen Honors Program. This spring I will be participating in a mentor program helping with research.

Why Engineering?

Many people wonder why some choose to become engineers. I chose engineering because I want a career that will take advantage of my organizational skills. I am very organized both at school and home.

Another reason is during high school, my classmates and I went on various field trips. My favorite ones were always the field trips that had something to do with the math and science fields. One of my most memorable field trips included an activity to design the least expensive bridge using a computer program. I really enjoyed that and look forward to finding a career similar in nature.
