jackhammers, ladders, generators, scaffolding with a value less than
$2000 can be authorized with a purchase order or a Purchasing Card. The
Requesting Department typically assumes the risk of replacing the hand
tools or small equipment if damaged or lost.
Rental of large construction equipment
such as skid-steers, forklifts, and backhoes shall be reviewed by the
Purchasing Department. Purchasing will determine if physical damage
insurance is required by ISU. The ISU Purchasing Card cannot be used for
the rental of large construction equipment.
