My Love of ISU Men's and Women's Basketball
My love of ISU basketball got started approximately 17 years ago when my husband was a student at ISU. At that time it was a form of inexpensive entertainment for us. Our three children attended games with us over the winter breaks when the tickets were cheaper yet.
We have had the thrill of watching many great players over the past 17 years - Jeff Hornacek, Jeff Grayer, Fred Hoiberg and Marcus Fizer to name a few! We find by having this love of basketball that we actually look forward to the Iowa winter months!!
Since starting to attend basketballs here, we have now expanded to attending the men's Big XII basketball tournaments in Kansas City. The last few years, we have started attending the women's Big XII tournaments as well. Now it looks like after the Year 2002 season, we are going to have start saving more pennies to attend the tournaments in Dallas, Texas for a few years before they move back to Kansas City.
