EnaGen’s product targets are based on the applications of new biotechnologies, having traits based on transgenic (GM) as well as non-transgenic (nonGM) technology. EnaGen’s R&D program uses conventional plant breeding, combined with state-of-the-art applications of genetics, new-technologies and biotechnology tools. EnaGen’s primary goal is to develop a portfolio of Intellectual Property by strategic funding of selected projects directed at improving the lignocellulose and starch feedstocks used for liquid fuel production.
EnaGen’s new biomass traits will have increased efficiency of conversion to liquid fuel as well as increased dry matter (Biomass) yield and crop sustainability. EnaGen is working on biomass yield, biomass quality and bioproduct innovations through its four subsidiary business units: (a) Discovery & Innovation, (b) Research & Enhancement, (c) Product Development, and (d) Marketing & Technical Services. The deliverable to EnaGen’s investors from EnaGen’s applied plant science R&D will be a return on investment capital as well as options on innovations in BioEthanol & BioProducts. |
