I am a 44 year old married woman with one child. I originally came to Iowa State after graduating from high school in the small Iowa town of Humboldt. I joined the Office of Admission in 1976 after graduating with a bachelor of arts from Iowa State. I thoroughly enjoy my work! My duties include recruiting foreign undergraduate students, and supervising the international application and admission process for both undergraduates and graduates.
I have traveled (briefly) to Russia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Canada, Barbados, Antigua, and the British Virgin Islands. My hobbies include reading, gardening, watching the Star Trek series with my daughter, films, collecting Native American artifacts, and playing computer adventure games.
Here is a picture of the Campanile at Iowa State, located on central campus. It is the symbol most often used for Iowa State.
